The Democratic Front (Serbian: Демократски фронт / Demokratski front) is political coalition headed by the montenegrin former diplomat Miodrag Lekić. It is composed by New Serb Democracy (NOVA), Movement for Changes (PzP) and Democratic Party of Unity (DSJ). Many anti-government NGOs, some trade unions, student organizations, academics, independent personalities and even a fraction of Socialist People's Party (SNP) have joined the DF.[1] The main goal of the DF is to overthrow the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS) of Milo Đukanović, which is in power since 1991.[2]

Lekić led the alliance's list in the parliamentary election of October 2012.[3] Lekić ran in the 2013 presidential election, supported by both his Democratic Front and the Socialist People's Party. According to the electoral committee's report, he was narrowly defeated by incumbent Filip Vujanović (supported by the ruling DPS). However, many independent observers insisted that Vujanovic's victory came about as the result of a massive electoral fraud.[4]
