Democratic Centre (identified electorally as Democratic Centre – Strong Hand, Big Heart) (Spanish: Centro Democrático – Mano firme, corazón grande) is a political party in Colombia founded by businesswoman Marta Lucía Ramírez, former Vice President Francisco Santos Calderón, former Minister of the Interior Fabio Valencia Cossio, and (notably) Álvaro Uribe, former President of Colombia.[1]

The party is big tent coalition of individuals opposing current government negotiations with FARC, the major left-wing anti-government paramilitary in the current Colombian armed conflict.[2] Although created as a decidedly right-wing party, its members now come from an extreme range of political backgrounds, including former politicians of the right-wing Colombian Conservative Party, the center-right Social Party of National Unity, the left-wing Alternative Democratic Pole, and the far-left Revolutionary Independent Labour Movement.[3] The party also includes right wing politicians including, among others, Luis Alfredo Ramos, but also includes a security-interested left-wing faction led by Carlos Valverde, a Marxist.
