Democratic Alternative '91

The Democratic Alternative '91 (Democratisch Alternatief '91, DA'91) is a liberal party in Suriname. The party was founded originally as a combination of four parties under the name Democratic Alternative 91 in March 10, 1991]. At the last legislative elections, held on 25 May 2010, the party was part of the New Front for Democracy and Development electoral alliance that won 31.6% of the popular vote and 14 out of 51 seats in the National Assembly. Out of these 14, one seat went to DA'91.
