Delvada, also known as Delwada is a village in Una Taluka, Gir Somnath district, Gujarat, India. It's located on the bank of Machundri River and is 5 km from Una. Delvada is about 8 km from Diu. In Delvada several social groups can be found, such as Kolis, Patels, Muslim, Lohana, and Sindhi. It's near the Arabian Sea, which makes the weather around the village extremely humid.

Economy

Most of the inhabitants of Delvada depend on the agricultural industry. However, 60% of the population works in the diamond business, and 10% of the population manage shops.

Mahadev shiv temple

A Mahadev Shiva temple is located on the banks of the Machundri river. Here the locals pray to the god Shiva.

Jain Derasar

There is a Jain derasar, which is a holy place for the Jain. It's located in the center of the village. There is white idol of Bhagwan Chintamani in the Padmasana posture. It's believed that this temple belongs to the Ajahara group of five tirths.
