Delaware Valley Orienteering Association

Delaware Valley Orienteering Association (DVOA) was the oldest and largest[1] orienteering club in the United States for many years. Caroline and Kent Ringo and others provided leadership from the late 1960s into the 2000s. DVOA distributes the popular Clue computer program for making control description sheets.[2]

DVOA held its first orienteering meet on November 5, 1967, at Valley Forge.[1] DVOA coordinated the United States Orienteering Championships in 1982 and 1992, with a then-US record 705 orienteers competing in the 1982 championships.[1]

DVOA has permanent orienteering courses at several locations, including French Creek State Park and Nottingham Park in southeastern Pennsylvania.

The DVOA motto is "No Matter Where You Go There You Are!"
