Deborah M. Pratt (born December 16, 1951) is an American actress, writer and television producer.

Early life

Pratt was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Geraldine (née Bryant) and Col. Bertram Roberson Pratt, a vice president of Pullman Heritage Bank.[1] Her parents were both African-American/Creole (her father from Mobile, Alabama, and her mother from Baton Rouge, Louisiana).[2][3]

Career

Pratt was a co-executive producer and a writer on the Quantum Leap TV series[4] which was created by her then-husband, Donald Bellisario, and acted in television series including Quantum Leap, Magnum, P.I. and Airwolf. In 2000, she directed Cora Unashamed for Masterpiece Theatre's The American Collection.

Personal life

Pratt married producer and screenwriter Donald P. Bellisario in 1984. They have two children, Nicholas and Troian Bellisario. They divorced in 1991.
