Dayanna Grageda is an Australian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss Earth Australia 2014. The event was held at the Sydney Town Hall on September 14.[1] However, weeks after her victory, the Miss Earth Australia dethroned her from her title for not fulfilling her duties. She was replaced by Miss Fire, Nadine Roberts.[2]

Miss Earth Australia 2013

Dayanna joined the 2013 edition of Miss Earth Australia. She placed as the Miss Earth Australia - Fire or the equivalent of third runner up. The edition won by Renera Thompson.[3] Renera competed in Miss Earth 2013 but went unplaced.[4]

Miss World Australia 2014

In 2014, Dayanna decided to join the Miss World Australia 2014[5][6] where it was won by Courtney Thorpe[7] who represented Queensland. She will participate in Miss World 2014 in London, England.[8]

Miss Earth Australia 2014

Dayanna once again joined the Miss Earth pageant for Australia. But this time, she was able to snatch the crown and thus, becoming the fourteenth Miss Earth Australia, following her predecessor, Renera Thompson.[9]

Dayanna’s elemental court is made up of Miss Air Australia Zinnia Jothi Janif, Miss Water Australia Chelsea Lewis and Miss Fire Australia Nadine Roberts.[10]

Volunteer works

Dayanna has been involved in charity work since she was 14 and it is a passion of hers to do something to help less fortunate people.

In addition for her work for the Variety Club, she is volunteer for Sydney Metropolitan Wildlife Services and has undertaken volunteer work for elephant conservation projects in Thailand.

During her holidays, she has spent time in northern Thailand doing volunteer work at an elephant rescue sanctuary, the Elephant Nature Foundation.

Her work with the Sydney Metropolitan Services involves rescuing injured wildlife for rehabilitation or release back into the wild.[5][6]
