Davina Devine

Davina Devine is a drag queen character performed by Dave Redmond in Dublin, Ireland. Devine is one of Dublin's most recognisable drag figures and is a resident drag queen at The George Bar.^[1]

Performance style

Devine's persona is that of a blonde bombshell beauty. She mainly concentrates her performances on contemporary pop music like Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Beyoncé.^[2][3][4]

Since 2012, Devine has hosted her own drag queen contestant show on Thursday nights at The George Bar called "Thirsty Thursday".^[5]

Events

On November 25, 2011, Devine hosted the singer Pixie Lott and The X Factor UK contestants The Risk at The George.^[6]

Documentary

On July 26, 2012, Devine screened a documentary chronicling her life as a drag queen.^[7] The documentary, Davina Defined', included interviews with other Dublin nightlife figures, including the drag queen Dolly Grip and clips of her performances.^{[8][9][10][11]}
