David Tutonda is a Democratic Republic of the Congo professional football defender who plays for Newport County on loan from Cardiff City.

Career

Tutonda was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and moved to London with his family at the age of five. He did not start playing football until the age of twelve. Tutonda was subsequently spotted by Cardiff City academy manager Neal Ardley who signed him.[1]

On 13 February 2015 he joined Newport County on an initial one-month loan. Tutonda made his football league debut for Newport on 14 February 2015 in the starting line-up for the league two fixture versus Wycombe Wanderers.[2] Newport won the match 2–1. He scored his first football league goal for Newport County on 18 April 2015.
