David Pratt (Canadian broadcaster)

For the American radio personality, see Dave Pratt.

David Pratt is a Canadian sports radio personality who works for CKNW since March, 2012. Until 2011, he hosted, along with Don Taylor the weekday afternoon talk show Pratt and Taylor on CKST ("The TEAM 1040") in Vancouver, British Columbia. Pratt has a running feud with former Vancouver Canucks general manager Brian Burke that often found its way on to the show. [1] A 30-year veteran of sports media, Pratt was formerly a correspondent and host of Last Call at sports cable channel TSN, and worked at Vancouver radio stations CKLG, CFUN, CHRX, CKWX and CFOX, as well as CFJC in Kamloops and CJAV in Port Alberni (where he began his broadcasting career as a DJ in 1974).

Previously, David Pratt worked for the Vancouver Province. On June 3, 2008, it was revealed by a reader that a recent sports column of Pratt's in the Vancouver Province contained two plagiarized lines from SI columnist Rick Reilly. He was subsequently released from his position with the Province, admitting that it was a dumb mistake and apologizing to Reilly for not quoting him as such.[2]
