David M. Pletcher

David M. Pletcher (born June 14, 1920 - February 22, 2004)[1] is a noted historian, considered an expert in his field.[2][3]

He was once a history professor at Indiana University.

He served as an advisor for the 1999 documentary U.S.-Mexican War (1846–1848).[4]

In 1957 he won the Beveridge Award for Rails, Mines and Progress: Seven American Promoters in Mexico, 1867-1911.
