David Lockington

David Lockington (born 1956, Dartford) is the music director of the Grand Rapids Symphony, a regional orchestra located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, U.S..[1] Lockington assumed this position in January 1999. During his tenure in Grand Rapids, Lockington has also served as the music director for the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra (1996–2000), the Long Island Philharmonic (1995–2000) and the Modesto Symphony Orchestra (2007–2012). He is music director of the Pasadena Symphony. (2014)

Lockington holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Cambridge and a master's degree in cello performance form Yale University.

He resides with his wife, violinist Dylana Jenson, in Grand Rapids. They have four children.
