David G. Kabiller is a co-founder of AQR Capital Management,[1] along with Cliff Asness, John Liew and Robert Krail.[2] He initiated AQR’s international growth and its introduction of mutual funds[3] and reinsurance[2] as well as the creation of the AQR University[2] symposia series and the AQR Insight Award for outstanding innovation in applied academic research.[2]

David has co-authored papers on topics including derivatives,[4] enhanced indexation,[2] securities lending,[2] insurance-linked securities,[5] hedge funds[2] and the secret of Warren Buffett’s investing acumen.[6] He was profiled in Scott Patterson's book The Quants.

He is a member of the Northwestern University Board of Trustees and large donor to both academic and athletic scholarship programs.[7] He also is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Terra Foundation for American Art.[8] He is chairman of the Executive Council of the International Institute for Nanotechnology.[9] He created NU for Life, a program to provide mentoring and career development for Northwestern University athletes.[10]

Prior to AQR, he was a vice president at Goldman, Sachs & Co.[11] He earned a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University, where he received an athletic scholarship to play tennis and was named to the Big Ten Conference Academic All-Conference team.[2]
