David Davis is American television producer and television writer. He is best known for work on the sitcoms The Bob Newhart Show, a series he co-created with Lorenzo Music, and Taxi, a series he co-created with James L. Brooks, Stan Daniels and Ed. Weinberger. In 1979, he won a Primetime Emmy Award for his producing work on Taxi.[1]
He also produced for the series O.K. Crackerby!, My Mother the Car, He & She, The Good Guys, Get Smart and wrote episodes for The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spin-off Rhoda.
Since 1976, Davis has been in a relationship with actress Julie Kavner, they met on the set on Rhoda, a series Kavner co-starred in.[2][3]
