David Alleyne (born 17 April 1976, York) is an English cricketer. He is a wicket-keeper and a right-handed batsman.

Alleyne signed for Middlesex in 1999 but, partly because his batting was perceived as weak, found himself unable to displace David Nash from the first team wicket-keeper slot.[1] When Ben Scott then emerged as Nash's successor, Alleyne decided to switch clubs.

Alleyne signed for Nottinghamshire in October 2003. Mainly used as cover for Chris Read, most of Alleyne's time was spent playing in the Second XI as a lower-order batsman and wicket-keeper. One particular career highlight occurred "against Warwickshire in May 2006, he scored his maiden first-class fifty in the first innings and trumped that with his maiden hundred in the second."[1][2]

Alleyne was released by Notts in August 2007 and he is now pursuing a club cricket career for Victorian Premier Cricket team, Northcote.
