It has a very interesting Night Life and is a Very Vibey place to be when you're visiting the Eastrand, because it stands out from all the ekurhuleni townships. The most notable of such establishments is Lapeng Village, a beautiful 3star guest house in Sigalo, Pule's Busy Corner or commonly known as Mabaso, the latter being because of the street the establishment is situated on (Corner Mabaso and Mocke Streets), The Dawn Pub in Lobedu and Two Tone in corner Fokeng and Barwa, Brima Café In Sikundu Street to mention just a few . Just like any other township, most of the youth here who where unable to FET colleges or Universities end up getting addicted to drugs and committing crimes in the township.
Cuisine
Daveyton is regarded widely as the place where 'Kota' or [a quarter of bread with choice fillings] originated, and where the best 'Kota' cuisine is made. 'Kota' is one of the township's popular fast foods. Some of the famous shops in this industry are Stan's fastfoods, Mavusana's kota at Ntambo street and queeenzoline's catering as well as BANDA'S bottle store in Shongwe for all the different kinds of refreshments and lastly Fontana fastfoods in Lobedu which Mzekezeke also sings about. People come from far places to buy kotas in Daveyton, and because of this there is a lot of competition amongst the sellers.

These cars serve as local taxis. They are part of the officially approved public transport by the Provincial Gauteng Government. These taxis are one of the township's major tourist attractions. These taxis are, as of 2008 starting to fade away, being replaced by the newer, more fuel efficient Toyota Avanzas which are pimped out and modified as cool cars.
