David "Dave" Nakama (born August 9, 1962) in an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the San Jose State Spartans baseball program. He was named to that position prior to the 2013 season.[1][2][3][4][5]

Nakama played as an infielder at Willamette, then made assistant coaching stops at Northern Colorado, Iowa, Yavapai and De Anza. He earned his first head coaching position at Mission College, where he remained for five seasons. After a brief two seasons as an assistant at Stanford, he served as head coach for three seasons at San Francisco State. Nakama returned to the Pac-12 as top assistant at Stanford, before moving to Washington. In September of 2012, Nakama was named head coach at San Jose State, his first Division I head coaching job.[1][2]
