Darryl Wolski

Darryl Wolski is a promoter and entrepreneur from Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.

He is best known for creating the controversial "Battle of the Hockey Enforcers" tournament, in which hockey players brawled on ice for cash prizes. Wolski announced the tournament in 2003, but legal difficulties prevented it from taking place until 2005.[1] It was eventually held at a half-empty arena in Prince George, British Columbia, after Winnipeg refused to act as host. Wolski's exploits were chronicled in the film Hockey Brawl: Battle on Thin Ice.

Wolski is a political conservative. He ran for the Brandon City Council in 1995, and finished a poor third against future cabinet minister Drew Caldwell in the city's second ward. He explained his loss by saying, "There's so many communists that live in that area, so I didn't expect to win."[2]
