Dard (1947 film)

Dard is a 1947 Bollywood drama film directed by Abdul Rashid Kardar. It contains the superhit song “Afsana Likh Rahi Hoon,” sung by Uma Devi, which remains popular even today, 65 years later. Another notable song is "Hum dard ka afasana duniya ko suna denge."

The film was a big musical hit which catapulted the music director Naushad to great heights, and promoted the career of Shakeel Badayuni, who wrote the lyrics of the hit songs.
