Danny Rogers (born 23 March 1994, in New York, United States) is an Irish professional footballer currently playing for Dumbarton on loan from Aberdeen

Career

Danny signed his first contract with Aberdeen in July 2011 [1] and played regularly for the clubs youth sides. In December 2013 he joined Airdrieonians on loan for a month but returned to the 'Dons' at the end of his short spell.[2] He signed for Dumbarton on a 6-month loan deal after impressing in friendly matches as a trialist on the 1st of August 2014 [3] and made his debut in 1-0 victory over Brechin City [4] He was named the clubs player of the month for September 2014.[5] He extended his loan deal on January the 2nd 2015 until the end of the season[6]

International career

In September 2014 Rogers fine performances on loan at Dumbarton earned him a call up to the Republic of Ireland U21s squad for the game against Norway U21 [7] He made his debut as a 60th minute sub and did not concede in his time on the pitch. The game finished 4-1 to Norway [8]

He made his first start for his country in a 1-0 defeat to the United States U21[9]
