Daniel Ravner
Daniel Ravner Is an Israelien writer, speaker, and cross media creator,[1] mostly known for his work in Israeli television, and his activities as a blogger who writes on crossmedia and internet trends.[2]
Biography
Ravner was born (1976) and raised in Ramla, Israel. He went to Ramla Lod High School and left Israel for Paris and later New York as of 1998. He returned to Israel in 2004, and has been operating since mainly from Tel Aviv.[3]
Education
In 2010 Daniel won the prestigious fellowship for the Entertainment Master Class – a selective executive education programme taking place in various locations worldwide.[4][5]
In 2008, Daniel graduated from his Film and Theater BA studies in New York City. He interned at MTV networks, earned the “W. Eaton award for excellence in playwriting” and also won the IFC’s sponsored Festeyeful “Best of Festival award” for his short film The Art of Talking to Girls.[6] In 2013, Ravner graduated business strategy MBA degree from ONO Academic College.
Career
CrossMedia
Among his projects are TV by the People [7][8] (first ever crowd sourced TV format), The Architect [9] (Israel first ARG), RGE's Springboard [10] and other cross media projects for the likes of P&G, FOX international Channels, ProSeiben’s Red Arrow, 3M and many more.
In March 2012 Daniel was elected by one of the top three leading business magazines in Israel, Globes, as one of the “40 most promising people under 40 in the Israeli business world” [11] He is currently the CEO of Practical Innovation [12] a cross media strategy and implementation firm.
Ravner formerly took roles that include: Head of Digital division at Armoza Formats,[13] Head of content at The Box and creative director of Screenz (A cross media joint venture of The Box and Keshet international[14])
Television
Prior to his position at THE BOX, Daniel wrote for prime time Israeli Television (channel 2 and 10) and acted as associate story editor on Channel 10′s prime time show “The sting.” he was also as artistic manager of “Smallbama” – theater festival,[15] and wrote the nationally toured comedic play The Chat and its Punishment
Blogger
Daniel has a professional blog covering original new media content and TV/WEB relationship.[16] Articles from the blog constantly reappear in other publications.[17] He also holds lectures worldwide on the subject of New and Cross media and workshops on transmedia and new media content in various academic institutions.[18][19]
