The Daniel French School is a historic school building at 38–40 Common Street in Waltham, Massachusetts. The wood frame structure was built in 1847 by Daniel French, an educator whose students (while he was teaching in Boston) included Charles Francis Adams, Jr. The building only served as a school until 1860, when it was converted into its present use as a residential duplex. It has modest vernacular Greek Revival styling, principally visible in the paneled corner pilasters.[2]
The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.[1]
