Daniel A. Epstein
Daniel Epstein (born December 10, 1985) operates a business incubator for entrepreneurs in Boulder, Colorado.
Business career
His first entrepreneurial venture was Tuition Specialists, a company aimed at helping out-of-state students pay tuition at less-expensive resident rates.[1][2]
His current focus is the "Unreasonable Group", the private holding company of for-profit "Unreasonable" organizations,[3][4][5] including:
- Unreasonable Adventures, founded in 2005, which sells booking software for tourism services.
- Unreasonable Institute, a nonprofit founding partner of the Unreasonable Group that is a business incubator for entrepreneurs in Boulder, Colorado. Associated with the incubator is an early-stage investment fund that invests in social entrepreneurs, including those who attended the Unreasonable Institute.[6] Attendees raise $10,000 for tuition and will spend six weeks living in a Boulder, Colorado.[3][7][2][8]
- Unreasonable.is, a web site for social entrepreneurs.[5]
- Unreasonable at Sea, a partnership between Unreasonable Institute, Stanford d.school (Institute of Design at Stanford), and Semester at Sea.[9][3][9]
- Unreasonable Media, the production company that produces all multimedia collateral for Unreasonable ventures.[10][11]
- Girl Effect Accelerator, business accelerator program aimed to benefit millions of girls in poverty to unleash The Girl Effect. [12]
Personal life
Epstein was born in Blaine, Washington. Epstein studied philosophy at the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated in 2009.[13]
