The Danaë is one of five paintings of Danae by the Italian artist Titian. Commissioned by Philip II, it dates to between 1553 and 1554.

It is now in the Prado in Madrid where it hangs near Venus and Adonis, another work in a series of mythological paintings described by Titian as "poesie" ("poems").
