Damien Cahalane (born 10 August 1992) is an Irish hurler and Gaelic footballer who plays as a defender for the Cork senior teams.[1]

Born in Togher, Cahalane first excelled at both hurling and Gaelic football in his youth. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor teams as a dual player, before later lining out with the under-21 sides.[2] He made his senior hurling debut in the 2012 championship before joining the senior football team the following season.[3][4]

At club level Cahalane is a two-time championship medallist with Castlehaven. He plays his club hurling with St. Finbarr's.

Cahalane's father, Niall, was a two-time All-Ireland medallist with the Cork footballers.[5]
