The Dalton Cache - Pleasant Camp Border Crossing is on the Haines Highway, which connects the communities of Haines, Alaska and Haines Junction, Yukon. This route (formerly known as the Dalton Trail) has been used for centuries by the indigenous people of the region and was heavily used during the 1898 gold rush. In 2009, Haines Highway was declared a National Scenic Byway.[1]
