Coaching Career

AC St. Louis

On June 24, 2010 Dale Schilly was named the head coach of AC St. Louis. A team that had just begun playing that year in the U.S.S.F Division 2 Professional League. The club decided to appoint Schilly after the team had gone 2-7-1 under coach Claude Anelka. Schilly inherited a team that was last in the league and didn't have the finances to make many roster changes. Upon his appointment Schilly said: "It is particularly exciting to coach in my hometown, and to create an environment that people want to be a part of."[3] Schilly turned the team around leading them to a 5-8-7 and taking them from last in the conference standings to fifth. Of the team's 29 points earned that season, 22 were won with Schilly at the helm. A huge turn around from the 7 points accumulated by the team under Anelka. Unfortunately, AC St. Louis would not be participating in the 2011 season due to financial issues. The team folded and AC St. Louis only lasted one season.

St. Louis FC

On May 1, 2014 the USL PRO announced that there will be an expansion team playing in St. Louis starting in 2015. The team would be named St. Louis FC and owned by SLSG PRO LLC. The team announced that Dale Schilly would be their first coach.
