Dahmer is an unincorporated community located in Pendleton County, West Virginia, USA. Established in 1896, Dahmer is the only place in the United States bearing this name. Its post office was discontinued December 1, 1941.

The town was named after the Dahmer family headed by John George Dahmer and Nancy Skidmore Dahmer. John George Dahmer was born in Germany and arrived in the United States in 1792. Nancy Skidmore was the daughter of the well known Revolutionary War Captain Skidmore.
