DZRR-TV is a commercial relay television station owned by ABS-CBN Corporation. Its studios are located at Lower Basement, CAP Bldg., Post Office Loop, Baguio City (studios will be relocated on 2Q 2014 at the soon-to-be-built ABS-CBN Broadcast Center at Quezon Hill, Baguio City), and transmitter is located at Mt. Sto. Tomas, Tuba, Benguet.
History
- 1969 - DZRR-TV, the first television in Northern Luzon, was launched after the merging of ABS-CBN.
- 1972 - During the declaration of Martial Law by then-President Ferdinand Marcos, and the takeover of ABS-CBN by his crony, Roberto Benedicto, DZRR-TV was shut down.
- 1986 - DZRR-TV reopened under ABS-CBN, its original owner.
- 1987 - DZRR-TV carries the Star Network with a gold tri-ribbon channel 3 with a star.
- 1989 - DZRR-TV started domestic satellite broadcasts to bring programs live from Manila.
- 1997 - TV Patrol Northern Luzon becomes the station's flagship newscast.
