A 5 Tolar coin, used to pay for food and drink

Visitors use a special currency, the Tolar, to pay for food and beer at the festival.[1] British newspaper The Financial Times ranked the festival to be among 40 global events that you should visit in 2012.[5] The first Czech Beer Festival outside the country was held in September 2010 in Frankfurt; then in 2012 in Berlin, Hamburg, Nuremberg, Essen, Moscow, Dotmund and Stockolm. For 2013, festivals are planned in Chicago, St. Petersburg, Bogota and New York.
