Cyrus Chu (Chinese: 朱敬一; pinyin: Zhū Jìngyī) is a politician in the Republic of China. He was the Minister of the National Science Council of the Executive Yuan in 2012–2014 until the council was changed to the Ministry of Science and Technology.[1]

Taiwan brain drain crisis
In August 2012 during a conference, Chu put a very high attention to the growing brain drain in Taiwan, citing that more and more Taiwanese move to Mainland China due to better offer and benefits. He added that due to the conservative nature of Taiwanese societies, even most of foreign workers in Taiwan are blue-collar workers, and the remaining white-collar workers only do the typical job such as teaching English, instead of being at decision-making position in big companies.[2]
