The Cypress Manufacturers's Association of Florida sponsored the Cypress Log Cabin at the Chicago World’s Fair. After the fair, the log home was sold to a couple in St. Joseph, Michigan, but was moved to Beverly Shores, Indiana, where it became a display home for the Barlett Real Estate Company's development.
Restoration efforts
Restoration efforts on the Cyprus Log Cabin were started in 1997. The home is now fully restored and occupied by long-term renters who obtained a 30 year lease from the park service in exchange for restoration & maintenance of the home.
