Cynan Jones
Cynan Jones is a Welsh writer born in 1975 near Aberaeron. He still lives there.[1]
He has published four novels and was awarded the Betty Trask Award for his first novel The Long Dry (2006).[2] His most recent book The Dig (2014) won a Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize and a chapter from it, first published in Granta Magazine, was shortlisted for the 2013 Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award.[3]
His work has been widely translated, and short stories have appeared in a number of anthologies and publications, and on BBC Radio 4.
