Cyclones of Chittagong (often abbreviated as CC) is the franchise representing Chittagong in the Bangladesh NCL (National Cricket League) Twenty20, a Twenty20 cricket tournament. The team is led by Nafees Iqbal. Tamim Iqbal is their team's Icon Player. The official colours are blue and white. The team also has three players who are iconic. In Cyclones of Chittagong it is bowler Rubel Hossain who has been on the Bangladesh national team bowlers. Also the batsman Aftab Ahmed who has the an impressive track record as well as the highest average in t20 cricket for a Bangladeshi. And also the allrounder Faisal Hossain. They are owned by of Bangladesh Jiban Bima Corporation, which is an insurance company.

The cricket ground for the Cyclones is the Chittagong Divisional Stadium. So all their home matches are played at this stadium.

Chittagong Divisional Stadium, currently known as Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and previously known as Bir Shrestha Shahid Ruhul Amin Stadium, is a sports venue located in the city of Chittagong in south-eastern Bangladesh. It became a Test cricket venue on 27 February 2006 when it hosted a Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Jiban Bima Corporation is the state-run life insurance provider in Bangladesh. It is the largest insurance company of its kind in the country.

2009/10 Season

On 11 April, The Cyclones started with defeat on their first match against Rajshahi Rangers for the opening match Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. It was there where they lost by 6 wickets. Mukhtar Ali from Rajshahi Rangers was awarded man of the match taking a 3 wickets for 22 runs. The Cyclones had started their tournament on a low.

On 12 April, Chittagong was playing against Sultans of Sylhet for their second match at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. They had a disappointing defeat by 5 wickets. Tamim Iqbal was given the man of the match award for scoring 91 runs in 60 balls.

On 13 April, the Cyclones played Kings of Khulna at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. They lost by 78 runs on that day. Imrul Kayes from Kings of Khulna was given the man on the match award for getting 71 runs off 75 balls.

On 15 April, for their fourth match at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan No 2 Ground in Savar they were to play Barisal Blazers. Chittagong won the match by 8 wickets. Kamrul Islam got the man of the match award for getting 4 wickets for 24 runs.

On 18 April, Chittagong lost unfortunately by a strong Dhaka Dynamites at the Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium. Chittagong lost by 17 runs. Rubel Hossain got his man of the match award getting a five wicket haul for 32 runs only.

Cyclones of Chittagong finished fifth in the table.
