CybAero is an aerospace company industry based in Sweden. The company is a public company traded on First North[2] on Stockholm Stock Exchange.

History

The company was founded in 2003, and is based on research initiated in 1992 by FOA at Linköping University.[3] The company develops and sells Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The benefits of UAVs is that the risk of losing pilots on dangerous missions disappear. Moreover, regardless of the weather and visibility distance, the craft are lighter and more fuel efficient and require only a limited start and landing area.

CybAero is headquartered in the Nordic region's leading aeronautics town, Linköping. The city is notably home to the Swedish military helicopter squadron and to Saab development and production. Research and development is conducted in part with other companies and research institutions. So far, the project has been financed by various development programs. Some projects have also been received from potential customers. CybAero today employs 17 people at headquarters in Linköping, at their foreign office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and in Stamford Connecticut, USA.

The company has received orders for delivery of seven aircraft[4] to the United Arab Emirates military.
