Anunad

This is a musical event with two subcategories: namely Eastern and Western. There are 2 rounds: the elimination round and then the next round. Participants are expected to sing without any instrument in the elimination round where their voice is tested by the jury. Then in the next round the qualified participants sing with orchestra.

This year in 2014 many students took part in "anunaad". From M.C.A. 1st year participants were : "AKASH VERMA", "VIKAS" AND SUMIT. This day was completely action packed. Several students gathered at the audition venue which was the grand Lecture Hall Complex a.k.a. L.H. The contest was on fire when several music lovers and budding singers awaited for their turn to sing & perform in front of the jury. The jury consisted of none other than "Sir Vivek Vishal" - the music teacher at MNNIT. He teaches classical music at SAC(student's activity center)

But that day it was a complete different ambience where all the performers were fully charged. Some had even brought a guitar with them, though it was not allowed, to give a strting scale and few participants were really really good.
An MCA fresher Akash Verma was super excited about anunaad as music was his passion and singing was like energy to him. He had noticed the anunaad circular at SVBH hostel long ago and was anxiously waiting for the grand day to perform right in front of the judges. As the days got nearer he started preparing for the music agenda with full-fledged zeal.
And finally the day came when he was supposed to express himself in front of the judges.

It was morning around 10 o'clock when the auditions were on roll and the jury had to finish off with the auditions in a haste as they already had been there for such a long and hectic schedule. Nevertheless he was sitting in the audition room and was watching the other performers with their performance. His seniors had also mentored him in a correct fashion. To name a few there was "Prashant" and "Karishma madam" from the senior MCA batch. He was so keen and alert towards his music that he had already tested his voice that whether it sounds pleasing or not in front of th audience and for this he gave a mock audition in front of the seniors and got a highly positive feedback.

To mention the exact facts, he sang every genre in front of the seniors, whether it be the contemporary super-hit track "Tu jaane Na" from the movie Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani or some classic old hit like "Din dhal jaaye" from the movie "The Guide". And then the seniors were so mesmerised by his singing echo that they praised him to a great extent. In fact, upon hearing "Din Dhal Jaaye" prashant sir even gave him an advise to sing the same trac in front of vishal sir as he is very fond of old music and his(Akash's) voice is suiting the melody so much that it could be a sure shot selection for him.
Akash was very much enthrilled upon hearing these comments and had self-confidence in him. He had even prepared for the contemporary song "Shining in the sand and sun like a pearl up on the ocean" and was quite comfortable in singing that very song and so he decided to with that song at his audition time.
Then ultimately it came the grand moment when auditions started taking place. The jury was somewhat in a haste and so were the participants. The B.Tech guys were going in a succession and this was all visible to MCA seniors. So all of a sudden Karishma madam advised akash to go next. Akash was a novice and not a pro and so he was bound to oblige to his senior and so he went the next in a state of haste which made him over irresistible . But over all he gave a splendid singing performance.

Then evening followed and the next batch of singers came in that included solo performances.
