History

Formed in 1945, the club started playing in the local regional leagues, until 1992 when they became founding members of the Devon County League.[1] The club played in the Devon County League for 15 years, finishing as runners-up twice in the 1997–98 and 1998–99 seasons, under Manager and former Exeter City player Ray Pratt.[2] The 1998–99 season also saw the club do well in the Devon County Cups when they won the Devon Premier Cup.[3] Two seasons after their ciup success the club played its first ever FA national competition when they entered the FA Vase for the first time in the 2000–01 season.[4]

The club became founder members of the South West Peninsula League in 2007 when the Devon County League merged with the South Western Football League joining the Premier Division. They have since remained in the Premier Division despite finishing second from bottom in the 2009–10 season, the same season they made their debut in the FA Cup, the club was saved from relegation because Clyst Rovers pulled out of the league midway through the season.[2]

Ground

Cullompton Rangers play at Edenvale Park, Duke Street, Cullompton EX15 1DW.

The ground was originally named Speeds Meadow, and this was changed following a sponsorship agreement between the club and Edenvale Turf at the beginning of the 2014-15 season.

The ground has floodlights and clubhouse and has recently been improved with new Dressing room facilities that were opened by Steve Perryman MBE on February 28, 2012.[5]
