Cryptic Collection Vol. 4 is the 7th compilation album by Twiztid, and the 7th in the "Cryptic Collection album series". It was released on September 13, 2011 with very little to no promotion from Psychopathic Records.

Background

Twiztid announced in early 2011 that they were releasing a new Cryptic Collection album, and it would be called Cryptic Collection Vol. 4. The two songs "Magic Magic Ninja" and "Big Money" were intended to be on an album released by Big Stank and Lil Poot (two characters from ICP's 2000 movie Big Money Hu$tla$), but it was scrapped. "My Addiction" was on Psychopathics from Outer Space Vol. 3. "Need Some Help" was a song done by Project Deadman (Prozak & Mike E. Clark) and was on their only album. "Speculationz" was on Twiztid's The Green Book album in 2003. "Gimmie More" was a new song Twiztid and ICP done for the album; it was completed a month before the album was released. "Hell On Earth", "Hold On To Me" and "Hell Ride" were on Twiztid's 2009 tour album to promote W.I.C.K.E.D., End Of Days EP. "Wild Out" and "If They Don't Come For Me" were both on Twiztid's 2008 tour album Toxic Terror EP. "Yuwannahoe" was featured on Psychopathics from Outer Space Vol. 2. "Monster Inside" and "Wake Up" were on Twiztid's 2005 Fright Fest Tour CD Fright Fest '05 EP. "Prey For Us" was Twiztid's 2010 Fright Fest single. "Zombie" and "Moonlight" was meant for their 2007 album Independent's Day, but was left off.
