Crow Butte is a uranium mining operation located in Dawes County, Nebraska, U.S.A.
Crow Butte is a roll-front uranium deposit discovered in 1980. Uranium is recovered using in-situ recovery (ISR) mining methods.
Between 2002 and 2011, the Crow Butte operation has produced 7.6 million pounds U3O8.[1]
Reserves
As of December 31, 2013, proven and probable reserves are 928,600 metric tons at an average grade of 0.11% U3O8.[2] (2.3 million pounds)
Ownership
The Crow Butte operation is owned by Cameco Resources Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the Canadian company, Cameco Corporation.
