Crossroads Classic
The Crossroads Classic is a four-team basketball event held in Indianapolis, Indiana at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. It has featured four Indiana schools each year. They are the Indiana Hoosiers, the Purdue Boilermakers, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the Butler Bulldogs. In odd numbered years, Notre Dame plays Indiana while Butler plays Purdue. In even numbered years, Notre Dame plays Purdue while Butler plays Indiana. Purdue and Indiana do not play each other in the Classic, as they are conference rivals and always play later in the season. Thus, neither do Notre Dame and Butler.
In 2014, the athletic directors at the four participating schools announced that the Crossroads Classic has been renewed through 2019.[1]
