Crittercism, based in San Francisco, California, is a mobile application performance management (APM) solution.[2] The company’s products monitor many aspects of mobile app performance, helping developers and IT operations to deliver reliable mobile apps. Crittercism provides a real-time global view of app diagnostics and crashes across iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8, Hybrid and HTML5 apps and is used on more than 600 million unique devices and in more than 100 billion app sessions.[3] The company’s investors include Opus Capital and Shasta Ventures.[4]

History

Crittercism was founded in 2010 by Andrew Levy, Robert Kwok and Jeeyun Kim and launched a beta of their iOS SDK in January, 2011 with over a million installations.[5]

Study on iOS vs. Android application stability

A February 2012 study by Crittercism comparing the stability of iOS and Android OS applications has received coverage and commentary in the technical press.[6][7][8][9][10][11]

Crittercism's CEO, Andrew Levy, was featured in an interview with former Fast Company blogger Robert Scoble on September 27, 2011.[12] Former Sr. Director of Worldwide Product Marketing for the iPhone and Crittercism investor, Bob Borchers, is quoted as saying "It’s an elegant solution to a problem that almost every developer has."[13]
