The Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress is one of the categories at the annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards. The awards are presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association. This award was first given in 1995. There were no nominees until 2001. The awards were known simply as the Critics' Choice Awards until 2010, when the word movie was added to differentiate them from the Critics' Choice Television Awards.
