Founder
Credit.com was founded in 1995 by Adam Levin, a former Director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, and the Chairman and Co-founder of Identity Theft 911. From 1977 to 1982, he served as Director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
Product and services
The site’s feature service, the free Credit Report Card, gives consumers a breakdown of the information in their Experian credit report using letter grades, as well as their credit score. The service analyzes the consumer’s individual credit profile to identify and recommend credit and loan products for which they are most likely to be approved. Credit.com says it developed this feature to help consumers avoid unnecessary rejections and credit inquiries before they apply for credit. The Credit Report Card features two scores - the Experian National Equivalency Score and the VantageScore 3.0.
