Crazy Beautiful You[1][2] is a 2015 Filipino teen romantic comedy-drama film directed by Mae Czarina Cruz-Alviar starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.[3] It was released on February 25, 2015 in theatres nationwide.

Plot

A story about a problem child named Jackie, who goes into a medical mission in Tarlac where she met Kiko, and soon they find something crazy.... and beautiful.

Box office

The film earned ₱5 million on its opening hour. Collectivelly, it earned ₱32 million as of 9:00 pm (PST),[4][5] calculating ₱38 million on its first day, making it the only Filipino film to date to have that opening day gross. It also had the highest number of block screenings with 88. The film earned ₱110 million on its 5th day

International release

Due to the film's success, it will be shown in the U.S. and Canada on March 6.[6][7][8]

Record-breaking

Crazy Beautiful You set three records on its first day of showing in theaters. And it would take more time before another break it. The latest movie of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla broke records set by any Filipino movie for all time. Crazy Beautiful You was able to earn 5 million pesos on its first hour of showing and officially ended the day with P38 million making it the first Filipino movie to register such a huge box office gross on its first day of showing. On its second day, Crazy Beautiful You opened more theaters across the nation to accommodate more fans. From 178 theaters yesterday, it rose up to 250 today, Mico Del Rosario (AdProm Manager) posted on his Instagram account. The KathNiel movie also set a record to first ever setup a block screenings for fans not 1, not 2, not 10, but 88 block screenings held simultaneously throughout the country on its first day alone.[9]
