Craig Slater (born 26 April 1994) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Kilmarnock, as a midfielder.[1]

Career

Club career

Slater started his career at St. Mirren, but left the club after failing to make a first team appearance.[2][3]

After a spell training with Rangers, Slater then signed for Kilmarnock.[2] He made his debut for the club on 29 December 2012, in an away match against Motherwell coming on as a substitute in a 2–2 draw.[4] On 21 February 2014, he won the SPFL Young Player of the Month award for January 2014.[5] On 29 March 2014, Slater scored his first career goal, getting the winning goal in injury time in Kilmarnock's 2–1 win away to Motherwell.[6]

International career

Slater played youth football for Scotland at under-16, under-17 and under-19 levels.[7][8]

On 5 March 2014, Slater made his debut for the under-21 side in a 2–2 draw against Hungary at Tannadice.[9]
