Count of Dunois

The County of Dunois is an area occupying the area surrounding Orleans, France. Created in 1439, it was combined with County of Longueville in 1443.^[1] Holders of the title, including John of Orléans, were related to the House of Valois. John in particular was an illegitimate son of Louis I.

King Louis XIV created the peerage of Longueville for François d'Orléans, son of Jean, who Count of Dunois at the time.
