Council of Economic and Development Affairs (Saudi Arabia)

The Saudi Council of Economic and Development Affairs is one of two Subcabinets[1][2] of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is led by the Secretary General of the Royal Court, who is Minister of the Defense and a junior member of the Sudairi Seven political faction. The Council is made up of 22 ministers. All members of the Council are appointed by royal decree.[3]It was established by King Salman to replace the Supreme Economic Council and a dozen more focused bodies in January of 2015.
