Costanoa Venture Capital is a venture capital firm investing in early stage start ups. The firm, founded by Greg Sands, started with a $100 million fund in 2012.[1] Based out of Palo Alto, Costanoa Venture Capital focuses on cloud based consumer and business services, analytically driven applications, and data driven infrastructure.[2] Costanoa Venture Capital provides seed and Series A funding for smaller companies.[3] First round investments range from $500,000 to $3 million.[4]

Costanoa Venture Capital started with ten initial investments [5] and since has added eleven companies. The portfolio includes: 3scale, Acme Technologies, Alation, Apptimize, Bugcrowd, Datalogix, Demandbase, Gamechanger, Grovo, Guardian Analytics, Inflection, Intacct, iSocket, Kahuna, Lex Machina, LinkSmart, NovoEd, ReturnPath, Risk I/O, Stitch Labs, and VictorOps. Datalogix[6] and LinkSmart[7] have both been acquired.

In 2014, Greg Sands hired Costanoa Venture Capital's first partner, Neill Occhiogrosso[8]
