Corruption in Lithuania is examined on this page.
Extent
Generally, foreign investors do not consider corruption a problem of doing business in Lithuania.[1] There is a necessary legal and institutional framework governing integrity in the public sector, businesses and non-governmental sectors. The anti-corruption strategy 2011–2014 was introduced by the government.[2]
However, there are still some obstacles for combating corruption. In order to make sure that anti-corruption measures are being implemented effectively, some necessary resources such as human resources need to be increased. The lack of whistle-blower protection law also undermines the government's anti-corruption efforts.[3]
