Corey Thompson (born 15 May 1990) is an Indigenous Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays fullback and wing.

Playing career

Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Thompson played his junior football for Easts Mount Gravatt before being signed by the Souths Logan Magpies in the Queensland Cup.

In 2012, Thompson joined the Eastern Suburbs Tigers,[1] giving him the chance to do a pre-season with National Rugby League team Melbourne Storm.[2] The Storm attempted to sign Thompson but couldn't fit him under their salary cap.[3]

In 2013, Thompson played games for ICONZ Rugby in an Australian Rugby sevens tournament.[4]

In 2013, while playing for the Eastern Suburbs Tigers, Thompson signed a 2-year contract with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs effective immediately.[5]

In Round 1 of the 2014 NRL season, Thompson made his NRL debut for the Bulldogs against the Brisbane Broncos.[6]

In September 2014, Thompson re-signed with the Bulldogs on a 1-year contract.[7]
